The Wanneroo Community Men’s Shed is a non-profit organisation advancing the health and well-being of members, encouraging greater social inclusion through participation in activities benefiting and connecting with the community.

Computer Refurbishing

Our large computer refurbishment and resale area provides members opportunities to contribute in the several stages needed to refurbish or recycle computers. The computers, once refurbished under the Microsoft Authorized Refurbisher program, are for sale at affordable prices to Centrelink recipients, charity organisations and non-profit organisations.

Woodwork and Metalwork

The shed has a workshop including woodwork and metalwork where members can carry out tasks which assist community based projects.

Our workshop produces high quality wood and metal items. Our skilled volunteers produce made-to-order pieces and furniture to the community.

Recycle and Donate

The salvage area in the workshop where electronic items not suitable for refurbishment are prepared for sale as recycled materials.

We recycle and reuse unwanted cables, electronics and appliances where we can’t fix it for resale. We can arrange pick up from your home or office.

Refurbishing, Reusing and Recycling since 2009

The Wanneroo Community Men’s Shed Inc. (WCMS) started with a small group of men willing to help start a men’s shed in Wanneroo. With the assistance of Community Development Officers from the City of Wanneroo, we started WCMS for the benefit of men’s mental and physical health and well-being using the men’s shed model of fostering connection through involvement in meaningful activities.
Our journey started by choosing computer refurbishment as our first activity, aimed at selling computers to people on Centrelink, and using the small income to pay for operational costs. We have since grown in membership numbers, activities and premesis. See the story here …
